Thanks to a very generous grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we can restore the “at risk” spire of our beautiful building and explore the rich heritage of our church and its community.

Stories

Since we opened our Heritage Cafe at the start of our spire project many folk have come with stories and photos. Here are some of them. Mostly they range from the 40’s to the 90’s, though a few go back further. All have given their permission to share their memories, but we have only used Christian names for privacy reasons. We will add more memories as they are shared with us and will be happy to hear from anyone who would like to contribute.
